We all have that one friend who's flawless, no filter, no pimple, fine girl etc...She's just skin perfect and you keep wondering how they pull that off....
I had all this questions in my mind about a friend of mine but I just couldn't begin to ask her anything because I felt like it's somehow invading her privacy.
It just happened that on Monday I met up with her at her place just the normal friendship girl meetings. I had a wondering eye because I just needed to know so by coincidence I was getting something from her wardrobe then , I saw this jar , which out of place because the jar had a teddy bear picture so I wondered huh πwere in college what in the world is a baby jar doing here. I had to cram the name super first then do my research later.
The jar had been written Zinc and Castor oil cream. To be honest I have never heard of such a cream but the ingredients are quite common. I'm just an average college girl so I don't have the funds to go to overpriced dermatologists so my answer are ever "Dr
GOOGLE" lol interesting ππit's the sad truth.
I didn't even waste time I just scrolled makeup alley, acne or, dermatological reviews and a whole lot of sites where I get my answers and drive to purchase.
I found it funny that it's a diaper rash cream. how in the world can one use a diaper cream π±π±how far are people willing to go for beauty hacks were just but a few questions in my head. Through my research I got to know that it's a good cream for acne, pimples and skin problems. I'm still like how long ago was this secret discovered.
first things first, this is how the cream looks like :
It's quite attractive now that I know it's benefits. The active ingredients in the cream are zinc oxide BP 7.5% ww and castor oil 4.5 % ww.
Zinc oxide is a good anti-inflammatory product and yes how could I forget it's mostly used in sunscreens as the main ingredient. Castor oil has some known benefits and is something I am quite Familiar with. some of the benefits include: It reduces acne, fades blemishes, moisturizes the skin and reduces pigmentation. I tend to think if it's good for a baby's bottom then definitely it will be good for me.
Upon further investigation I stumbled upon another diaper rash cream named Desitin. What drew me to this cream is that it has 40% zinc oxide. I'm not sure if the stronger the better or I should just hold my horses. It is definitely the second on my wish list.
As I write up this blog, the best message in a students life is an M-pesa message and what a convenient time to do so. I am definitely going to purchase this cream today and see how far it will take me. I'm hoping for the best fingers crossed π.
the cream retails for Kshs.490 on e-pharmacy Kenya it's online based. I'm not sure about the price range out there but I'll try finding out and haha of course it has to be the lowest bidder typical Kenyan way ππ.
I will do a follow up review about this product. I am not a great advice and this us probably the worst advice on this blog. Drum rolls... πΊπ·π·If you have flawless friends investigate their closets, wardrobes, bags, everything they own πππππor simply ASK.
The thing about skin products is that it differs among various people so what may work on one may not work for another.
