EMBRACING OUR F - FLAWS

The F word is one very controversial word .This word hits my thought and makes me want to write about it at 3!!!!While I should be getting some sleep .The F word in this context means FLAWS. This sends jitters down my spine. It’s something that drives me to insanity. Something so many people have not come in terms with especially for ladies.





We all have different flaws and they come in different forms. The thoughts that hit you up like ‘I think I got a big tummy, masculine legs, sunburns, a pimple, etc. you name it…
We live in a world where perfection is the epitome of beauty. It means you just can’t afford to be imperfect in any way. I'm a music fanatic and my best musician is Sia.I have this connection with her music which to many is not really understandable. The" guts over fear "remix with Eminem is some song I am quite hooked to .
The message is insanely deep. It is through this music that I noticed something that will define what my post will be about. The video features some lady and for a while you will take your time and be like is it the video edits and effects? Or is it just something wrong with the person. I just couldn’t get it at that time.
My all-time woman crush was hence discovered just to cut the long story short. Winnie Harlow …..I cannot even begin to describe what this wonderful lady means to me.I admire everything about her and most of all her confidence and enduring spirit. Winnie Harlow is a Canadian model, but there is something that sets her apart from the rest .She is not your ordinary "flawless size 8 miss world "typa model. She is unique .Winnie, unlike the rest suffers from vitiligo. This is a skin condition in which there’s de-pigmentation of the skin therefore it creates uneven patches on the skin. She featured in America’s top model and in the guts over fear music video. That is how I came to know her.
The fact that I cannot imagine walking around with uneven skin or a pimple, because I am that insecure makes me wonder how she manages. The fact that she is always on national TV, doing shows etc. basically what I mean is her being out there showcasing herself. I don’t think it is something easy and it requires a lot of courage.

The picture showcases the very beautiful Winnie Harlow. I think I have learnt a lot from her. Never let your flaws come in the way of what you want to pursue in life. Sometimes it is that imperfection that gets us where we want to be. She sometime back contemplated suicide because of the trolls and negativity. I sometimes never understand people. No one has the liberty to choose how they appear and it is not one's wish to be the way they are. It is not something that one intended to have. Do people ever reason about this? Today it might be me but who knows about tomorrow? What if you were faced with the same condition how would you have handled it and would you want people to mistreat you? Definitely No but because of ignorance and just that something does not affect you directly assumptions are the order of the day.
I am happy that she gets herself out there and pursues her ambition. It is said that even the girl in the magazine wishes to be the girl in the magazine. Twisted huh...yeah right .I draw so much hope from Winnie and her’s is an encouraging story yes we should accept and embrace our flaws and just say f*** society because you can never live up to their standards just be YOU ….
This is my woman crush everyday .A strong, beautiful, intelligent and amazing in all ways kind of woman. She is just no ordinary lady because her commitment and value of her passion is just out of this world.
