Our hands form a very important part in our body .They are among the visible body parts so it’s very essential that we learn how to take care of them .It is part of good etiquette and creates a first impression because it is often expected that we say hi or just do stuff like eating, writing, typing and a lot of other things.
Some people can judge you just by the way your hands look for example during interviews as part of personal hygiene one can easily are dismissed. More than often we neglect our hands in a way little do we know that they need the pampering and to look gorgeous.
Your hands can give you a career. You can be a hand model hmm from a jobless point of view .This is to the ladies reading this your hands may get you a boyfriend lol and also avoid the embarrassing situation during a proposal and yes we definitely dread that.
This is a simple hand routine steps that you can follow:
1. Washing hands
Hand washing is the single effective way to prevent the spread of infections. Washing our hands ensures they are germ free. We have learnt this since time immemorial in our junior classes and from the numerous safeguard, Dettol, lifebuoy advertisements. A hand liquid soap is equally good and more efficient to carry.
2. Scrub
This is essential for exfoliation which is basically to get rid of dead cells and promote growth of new cells. I use the Eden Apricot Scrub .I saw my saloonist using it for most of her manicure procedures so I figured out I can use it too. It’s really good as it has big granules which is perfect for thick skin parts. It also has a good smell which is quite an attractive thing to me as I consider this in my purchases. It retails for around Kshs.200 for the small size and Kshs. 300 – 400 for the large size .Price is dependent on the place of purchase .Its almost found everywhere all supermarkets and beauty shops.
It is also important to remember to purchase a small hand brush to use for washing and scrubbing as it is more effective than rubbing your hands, it retails for I think less than Kshs. 50.
3. Moisturizing
This comes in after washing and scrubbing .This is to ensure our hands remain supple and soft .There are different types of hand creams out there. I normally use the farmasi berries with glycerin hand cream. It smells so sweet you would actually want to eat your hands. Besides farmasi, I use the Nivea smooth nourishing hand cream at times. It retails for Kshs.230.
A cheapskate method that’s known is just refilling your hand cream with your body lotion because it’s not all the time that you will have the money to keep buying hand creams.
4. Sunscreen
You can't afford to leave this out. It is very necessary.
You can use Nivea sunscreen lotion SPF 30 after applying the moisturizer.
EXTRA TIPS
Olive oil is a great moisturizing product it leaves your hands soft and also gives them a shiny effect .It retails for around Kshs.80 last time I checked and if you are on a tough budget this is a saver.
If you are in dire need of those infant hands well this trick works. Every night before sleep moisturize your hands then just put on gloves for some time and with time you will definitely note the progress.
It would be a crime if I happen not to mention good old Vaseline petroleum jelly; this needs no explanation and it's just Kshs.25 for the small container.
Pocket Wet wipes
There are many situations in which we get to use wet wipes. They are our total hand saver. I often use the small packs and they retail for Kshs.55-80. Since I’m a Kenyan there’s this mentality value for money .I decided I can’t keep buying the small packs as it was uneconomical so most of the time I just buy the Hanaan baby wipes or bouncy baby wipes over 50 pieces for just Kshs.150. A hand sanitizer is an equal alternative if you don’t like using wet wipes this comes in handy and does the job .There are various types I have used carex and Dettol .They retail for Kshs 150 – 250.
This is a simple hand routine that can be followed on a daily basis and kind of getting a manicure daily .Feel free to share your hand routines or any hand “savers”.
I am having a problem with blogger i cant upload images but I really wanted to upload this post. Please bear with the plain look .I will make the necessary adjustments once the problem is solved.
